Doctors & Staff
Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Vision Source of Brandon a proud provider of vision care products and services in Brandon.
Laura A. Vizzari, O.D.
Laura Vizzari earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Stonehill College in 1998, where she graduated magna cum laude with Honors. She then went on to obtain her Doctorate in Optometry (O.D.) from New England College of Optometry in Boston in 2002. After receiving her Florida Board-Certification, she relocated to Brandon, FL. In December 2002, she began her career as an independent optometrist giving eye examinations at Value Vision in Brandon. She purchased the business in 2004 and is continually improving on the products and services that are available. The business joined Vision Source in 2011 which has allowed for further growth and improvement in both quality of care and products offered. Dr. Vizzari is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, the Hillsborough Society of Optometrists, and the Rotary Club of Brandon. Dr. Vizzari truly enjoys providing eye care to her patients and looks forward to many more years of caring for patients in the area.
On a personal note: Dr. Vizzari and her husband became licensed foster parents in 2018 and are actively working with the children and families that are in need in our own communities. She is outnumbered at home by three boys: Jason born in 2007 and Tommy in 2008, and her husband, Tim, a hard-worker and dedicated father. Dr. Vizzari enjoys reading, church functions, gardening, cooking, and of course… eating! She was an avid volleyball player throughout high school and college. She took a several year break from volleyball after having children, but continues to play when possible, as long as the knees hold out!
